Bethlehem Prayer Group member Mr. Dennis George's wife Mrs. Betty's Grandmother Mrs. Saramma Mathai (93 yrs), Punnavilayil, Channapetta passed away today afternoon at 12:30pm. Funeral services will be held on saturday, December 1, 2012, 2 pm at Channapetta Bethany Mar Thoma Parish.
We share our grief with family members on the sad demise of Mrs. Saramma Mathai. We continue to pray that the Almighty Lord comfort and console the bereaved family in the days ahead.

Golden Jubilee Year begins
Year long Golden Jubilee celebration of Kuwait City Mar Thoma Parish Golden Jubilee celebration is being inaugurated by H.G Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan at a function held at Marina Hall, Kuwait on 16th November 2012. Rt. Rev. Dr. Mathews Mar Makarios Episcopa , Rt. Rev. Gregorios Mar Stephanos Episcopa , Mr. P C George MLA , Vicar Very Rev. K O Philipose, Rev. K G Koshy, Rev. Abraham Cherian Pulintitta , Rev. Prince Varghese, Vicars from sister parishes and various dignitaries were present at the function. 5 main projects of Golden jubilee year also inauguration at this function.

Very Rev. K O Philipose, vicar of the Parish will preside over the meeting. The newly consecrated Bishops, Dr. Mathews Mar Makkarios and Gregoriose Mar Stephanos will be felicitated on the occasion, the organizers said during a press meet held in Kuwait.
Dr Joshua Mar Nicodimose of Indian orthodox church , P C George Chief whip of Kerala Legislative Assembly, H K Mohan of Indian Embassy and many other dignitaries will take part in the function. As part of the celebrations many social works have been initiated, inauguration of which also will be held during the inauguration ceremony. The meritorious students of class X and XII will be honored during the meeting.

member’s children, who are studying in Kuwait and have secured high marks (10 or 9.8) in
standard X and highest marks in XII (Science & Commerce streams) during the
Academic year 2011 – 2012, will be distributed during the Edavaka Dinam,
scheduled to be held on 16th November 2012, Friday at Marina Hall, Jleeb
Al-Shuyoukh. The claimants may therefore submit their mark sheet duly attested
by the school authorities on or before , Saturday, 10th November 2012, to the Vicar / Parish
