Glory of India Award


Kuwait Mar Thoma Parish Congratulate Mr. Mathews Mammen, Kaisthana Samithi member St. James PG, on receiving the prestigious Glory of India Award. This Award is arranged by India International Friendship Society(IIFS), New Delhi, an International Organization of global repute promotes Universal brotherhood and works for India’s development by campaigning for and mobilizing NRI and foreign investment in India.



This year’s Award presentation ceremony was held in Dubai on Friday the 18th
November, 2011. About 100 Indian Diaspora from India, Middle East & other part of the world were honored during the event.


Glory of India Award is presented yearly to residents as well as non resident Indians and to a galaxy of achievers of extra ordinary excellence in different fields of life, including business & industry, Science and Technology, Medicine, Architecture, engineering, Administration, Corporate Management, Education, Literature and culture.


The Award was presented by the DIRECTOR GENERAL OF IMMIGRATION, U.A.E together with the Chairman of IIFS and former CBI Director, Mr. JOGINDER SINGH.

Among the Indian Community in Kuwait, three personalities were honored in the past and for the year 2011; two more were conferred, bringing the total to five.

Mr. Mathews Mammen was honored for his field performance (Engineering) as well as social activities. Employed as Senior Consultant with Gulf Consult, presently involved in the supervision of Sheikh Jaber Hospital (1200 bed) project in south sura, the largest of its kind in the Middle East.
