The Lent & Humanity of Jesus Christ

We are in the threshold of another LENT season, commemorating the sacrificial atonement of Jesus Christ. This year, Kuwait Marthoma Parish members, due to prevailing situation, are deprived of the institutionalized rituals of lent. This can cause a sort of psychological vacuum in us. If we evaluate the true meaning of the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ and its impact on humanity,we can come to the conclusion that, it is not the practice which makes us to align with Jesus Christ, but our response and acceptance of his teachings and life.
Christianity 'could vanish from Middle East'

"The Assembly is convinced that the loss of Christian communities in the Middle East would also endanger Islam as it would signal the victory of fundamentalism," a resolution approved by the 318-member body said.
It condemned the October 2010 massacre of worshippers in the Syriac Catholic cathedral in Baghdad and the January 2011 suicide bombing in a Coptic church in Alexandria as two "particularly tragic" events in a growing number of attacks on Christian communities worldwide.

Situation: Lord promised Joshua to give Canaan, but now they have Jordan river in front of it and its shores was overflowing with water.
Solution: Lord asked the priest to take the ark and put their feet into the water, immediately waters piled on one side and the other side drained off and people walked through dry land.
