Have they ever pondered on the consequences of their actions,95 percent of the parishioners do not want a split when there are already 3 marthoma churches functioning in this tiny oil rich Arab nation.
The remaining 5 percent who wants the split are the politicians of this church who lately haven't seen any of the executive committee seats nor council memberships nor madalam seats because of the fact that the majority of the church do not want them to be represented by a bunch of wicked canining illiterate godless people whose only goal is to play the kingmakers of this church. Now as the church will be divided into another 3 sections,they have ground to penetrate and play their dirty politics once again.
Times are changing,and people aren't dumb anymore.
In this pocket space when there is no church fully functioning as the 95 percent deliberately do not wish to go to the supposedly 3 new churches created,the Marthoma church stands to loose a lot in this gamble here.
1) Members will be poached into other churches
like the CSI(totally harmless considering they are our sister church) then the real threat of people going to the ever mushrooming half gospel,full gospel And quarter gospel churches lead by the charismatic "plasters" with marbles stuck down their throats and finally the youths have now a reason to join the ELC a.k.a the English language congregation which accepts people of any caste,creed or color and is very liberal in their praise and worship(something the youths always wanted which the church doesn't openly advocate because the early Syrian Christians never played the electric guitar and banged the double base drums in the caves while worshiping:traditionally not our cup of chai)
2)The church would be financially deprived and strapped of money as members would no longer voluntarily donate a penny to the church which means our metropolitan and his associate puppets would be forced to fly budget class and a lot of cost cutting discussed and implemented from the high command.
Its time The marthoma church wakes up to the reality surrounding them, there is no point into getting into a damage control mode when everything's over.
I would like to cite the example of the oldest marthoma church established outside of kerala was in Malaysia and now which is in shambles ,we had 17 churches there once upon a time, but today its dwindled into just 3 major churches with less than 200 active members there in the whole of Malaysia. According to predictions In another 15-20 years these churches too will be complete extinct here.
What happened to the marthoma churches inMalaysia
The first generation of malayalees worked in estates there. The second generation were mostly educated in Malay which was compulsory in this Muslim country and when the marthomites there requested our bishops for a malay order of service to cater to their children, the marthoma church denied their request and told them that "we are a malayalee church and we have to stick to our local guns". Their children could have been retained in our church if we had forward thinking visionaries like Abraham Malpan and the others who took the initiative to translate the order of service from syrian or suriani to malayalam. Why couldn't they apply the same logic here in this case,translate from malayalam to malay,in the language that the people understand and communicate in?
The Malaysian government issued citizenship's to most of our malayee fellow marthomities and the next generations integrated with the malaysian society as the government recognized them as an integral part of the country.
Our church is always late when it comes to damage control. Is our church really democratic when it comes to its functioning?
In the marthoma church the center does not believe in Integration because we are still reserved and brag about our tradition and syrian culture.
After seeing,hearing and being part of all this drama controlled by a man made church this is a question I've been pondering on

I have been to a lot of marthoma churches in india and outside India,to me the Kuwait marthoma church has always been my all time favorite with the energetic fasting prayers, pious faithful members queuing up to enter the santuary,the carnival feel of the sunday school with 1000 over kids,the most organised harvest festivals, the list just goes on and on...
Maybe its time for the next wave of reformation to sweep the marthoma church. Every reformation has an expiry date as times and people change.It was the atrocities of the pope and fathers of the catholic church tat lead to the protestant movement. It was the nonsensical worship style of the orthodox church that lead to the creation of the marthoma church. And now people are waking to reality to the arrogant and undemocratic system that prevails at the helm of the marthoma church. The bishops of the marthoma church practice an AUTOCRACTIC style of rule over the other churches instead of being democratic.Egypt

Its high time the church decides its further course of action. In my opinion best practice standards should be implemented across all the marthoma churches globally. They spent Rs.15lackhs to develop a software and send it to most of the marthoma churches which enables the HQ in thiruvilla to monitor all the incoming and outgoing financial activities of that church. This was in fact a super flop as most churches did not find the need for somebody else to be nosy about their finances as long as it remains transparent within the church.
This clearly shows that, all they are bothered and concerned about is the MONEY and by far this is the only best practice implemented.
A bundle of sticks cannot be broken easily.
Let me brief u all my fellow marthomites about how this uneventful and sarcastic thing happenend tokuwait kuwait marthoma parish which existed for past 47yrs in d desert land KUWAIT ...History can never be erased , 47yrs of experience by Kuwait
Kuwait marthoma parish at its current status has been dissolved and 95% of us are against it...The supreme authority of a church is its executive committe and general body of a church...WITHOUT EVEN INFORMING THESE AUTHORITIES thirumeni has done such a disastorous job...Y did he do dis?? dissolved a sunday school which had a membership over 1200 children....
Our marthoma sabha has a constitution and we always believed in it...we shall fight and fight till we get our church back..Kuwait 30 in each church INCLUDING THE ACHENS..
This is a red alert to all the other marthoma churches around the world ...You can also be in our shoes if fate decides so...The outnumbered coccus group of people , wanting power and authority has outraged our lifes into blood and tears..BUT THIS IS APROMISE KUWAIT MARTHOMA CHURCH INDIA
