Christian faith is a destiny to spread the warmth of the love we experienced from the Lord, by ourselves being converted to a particle of the same character as Christ the Head.

Here we can consider our status in this aspect, by a metaphorical comparison with the sun and the moon.

Our Parish member Mrs. Annamma Mathai (Selin),  (52), (St.Peter's PG.),Melethu Malayil, Kuriyanoor,   has been promoted to glory. She was working in  Farwaniya hospital as staff nurse.

Christmas Carol Rounds Practice

Could we Thank God for Prayers Delayed and Denied ?

Jesus said,  ask, you will get, search , you will find and knock, door will be opened.    Would any of you give your hungry child a stone, if he ask for bread? Would u give your child a snake,  if the child asked for a fish? ( In Mathew Chap 7) These words were spoken by Jesus to assure us that the heavenly father is always keen to answer  our prayers with all the good things of heaven. This is the direct message of the above words.

 But when I read this passage in Bible, the message that came to my  mind was an  answer as to why some of our prayers are not heard.   Bible says there are many reasons why our prayers are not heard, for example, our own inequities, our sinful nature ,  selfish greed,  our unwillingness to forgive, revenge in our hearts and not the  least important, our  lack of faith.

Prayer Request

Our member Mrs. Ripsy ( Koinoniya PG )  has been admitted in farwaniya hospital ICU and she is kept on ventilator due to respiratory problems.  After cesarean her bp is high,  also now suffering from chicken pox. Please pray for speedy recovery.

Are we really The Lighted to Lighten?

Though I had seen  the words ’Lighted to Lighten’’  many times in the past  from childhood, never I tried to understand what it really mean. But some recent events related to  church stirred my mind to think over these words.  

What is Light? In the perspective of Bible,  Light is Jesus and  Word of God. John chap. 1 says ‘’ In the beginning was the Word, … and the Word was God, …. ⁴ In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.David says in pslm27 The Lord is my light ..? psalm119 says’’ Your word is a lamp for my feet,    a light on my path’’ and   word of god ‘’make me wiser than my enemies, gives me more  insight than all my teachers,  more understanding than the elders’’ and for Solomon it is ‘’the apple of eye’’ How befitting to name Jesus  as Light is more clear when we read Isaiah 60:19&20 which same as we see  in Revelations 21:23 ‘’The city (New Jerusalem) does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp’’ and 22:5 ‘’ There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light...’’ Now let us see what the Marthoma Church motto represent.

Family Dedication Day( 21-Oct-2011): Photos

Thousands of Kuwait Mar Thoma Parish members flocked into Marina Hall, Kuwait for the largest Mar Thoma worship service in the world. The day was observed as family day and a blessed family dedication service was led by Rev. Justin Devadason. 25 percent of today's offering has been set apart for helping the poor and needy.

Youth Chorus: Group Song Competition

Youth Chorus is organizing the sixth Christian Malayalam Group Song Competition on Friday, 18th November 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the United Indian School Auditorium, Abbasiya. The team has to present one Christian Malayalam song within seven minutes. The minimum number of members in the team should be 7 and the maximum 20, including the orchestra persons.


The first, second and third prize winners will be awarded with rolling trophies and certificates. The following prestigious trophies will be awarded to the winners.

Kuwait Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam organised Saanthwanam 2010, a Christian devotional musical program on Jan 7th 2010.,which raised Rs. 5 lakhs for the treatment of cancer patients. "Njan irangum mumpe enikkayi pokum" a beautiful and touching song , written and composed by then Ass. Vicar of Kuwait Mar Thoma Parish Rev. Raju Thomas and melodiously sung by Mr. Biju Narayanan.

Mrs. Mariamma Ipe (87) (popularly known as Matron Ipe) was Home-called yesterday (3/10/2011).  While in Kuwait, she was in her secular job as Matron in Kuwait K.C.C. Hospitals and also the Assistant Director of Nursing.

God had blessed Mr. & Mrs. Ipe, with three daughters, viz. (i) Susan Jacob (late); (ii) Anitha Mathew and (iii) Milini Thomas. Mrs. Ipe and late Mr. Ipe, were Kuwait Mar Thoma members, 

May our good Lord console and comfort the bereaved family members and others who are in close association with this family.

Ezhuthiniruthu Sishrusha: Photos

Kuwait Mar Thoma Parish organised Pre-school motivation program on Saturday, 01st October at United Indian School. 21 tiny tots accompanied by parents ,wrote the alphabet for the first time in a prayer filled atmosphere. With the divine presence of God Almighty, Mrs. Susan Roy, Principal of United Indian School guided the little ones to receive the power of wisdom and knowledge.
