Kuwait municipality okays land for new Roman Catholic Church ...
Kuwait municipality has agreed to set aside a plot in Mahboula to build a Catholic Church, based on a request forwarded by the foreign ministries Arab Affairs department, reported local daily. A Letter referred by the Municipalities managing director Ahmad Al-Subaih to the chairman of the municipal council explained that the projects includes building a 2000 square meter church and a parking space that covers an area of 5200 square meters. The construction process takes two years following approval.

Still there are a large number of Kuwait Mar Thoma Parish members feel that, the decision of The Metropoletan to dissolve the parish is unilaterally forced on them who value the identity of Kuwait Mar Thoma Parish very dearly. They feel that the action was not democratic and unacceptable.
