While surfing through the net., found this comment from Mr.
George Thomas regarding our Kuwait Mar Thoma Parish.
What we have here in Chicago could be a good example for you
to how to deal with the crisis.
When the Ist MT Church of Chicago grow leaps and bounds,
they decided to form a new parish retaining the original one in its place. The
Mother parish contributed a sizeable amount of money to find a new property and
helped to build a new church for the new Parish. While the new church building
was under construction, the newly formed parish held its service in the
afternoon at the old church itself.
Once construction of new church completed the new parish
started functioning there with members volutarily joined the new parish on
their own will.
Your problem could be solved by retaining the original
Parish and giving option to members to join the new parishes . The assets, and
other valuables owned by the current church need to be devided accordingly or
the original parish help others to build their own churches.
